hiya luvs,
it's my 35th birthday! i've made plans to have dinner with my friends and go watch a paperdoll show after. paperdolls are lipsyncing, hip gyrating, sequined bodysuit wearing drag queens. can't wait. those in kl, do come to the funtheque, above the ship restaurant on jalan bukit bintang.
until then, i've been messing about with instyle magazine makeovers. so i've compiled a few of my favourites.
please vote for your favourite in the comments space below and i may book an appointment with my hairdresser and get my hair done with the winning hairstyle ;)
1.the flick
2. the siren
3. the cali
4. the head souffle
5. the sophisticate
6. the biebs
7. the highschool heart throb
8. the gaga
lol
enjoy!

long holidays
hiya luvs,
i almost didn't want to leave hong kong. just wanted to live there as an 'extended house guest' of akin and dave but reality knocked. my last week there was a productive week designing. in the morning, we would have playgroups. it was a great opportunity to observe the children interact with their spatial environment (at this point i should mention i'm working on a childrens furniture project, just so you guys know and not think i'm some weirdo that observes little kids lol).
meet the playgroup:
i met some great people there through akin and david. mostly expats and parents of young children (they're all in their thirties like me). we had some guests over for dinner and i contributed by baking some cupcakes :)
for my last weekend, we decided to take it easy and go to see the pixar exhibition at the hong kong heritage museum. it was a fun trip. i only wished they had a pixar gift store :(
we totally needed to zen out after that with a vegetarian lunch at the chi lin nunnery.
